What Is SAFE-T Claim On Amazon?
SAFE-T Claim is an abbreviation of Seller Assurance for E-commerce Transactions. This programme allows sellers to claim reimbursement from Amazon for losses incurred due to the customer or damage during shipment. The programme is purely for Easy Ship related orders.
SAFE-T Claim Programme Is Only Applicable For Easy Ship Orders.
How To File Amazon SAFE-T Claim?
Filing a SAFE-T claim is a super easy process. Steps of the same are mentioned below:
- Log in to your Seller Central account.
- Hover on “Orders” in the header menu and click on “Manage SAFE-T Claims“.
- Click on File a new SAFE-T claim button on the top-right side of the web page.
- Enter your Order Id for which you want to file SAFE-T claim and check its eligibility or You can also scan RMA ID (Returns Merchandise Authorization ID) available on Andriod app.
- If you are eligible for the claim, simply select the reason code, attach the relevant documents and mention your issue in detail.
When Will Amazon Respond Back After Filing The SAFE-T Claim?
Amazon will share its response within 7 business days once you submitted the claim.
How Can I Check Status Of My SAFE-T Claim?
You can easily check the status of your submitted claim on “Manage SAFE-T Claims” page. Refer to the screenshot below:
Once you are on “Manage SAFE-T Claims” page, there are two ways to check the status of your SAFE-T Claim as below:
- Search – You can search for the status of a SAFE-T Claim using the SAFE-T Claim ID, Order ID, RMA ID or ASIN. Just enter one of these in the search box shown below and click ‘Search’.
- ‘All’ tab – Click on ‘All’ tab to lookup all SAFE-T Claims filed by you in the last 30 days. In case, the claim was filed more than 30 days ago, you can select the appropriate date range using date range filters.
Where Will I Get Notifications From Amazon SAFE-T Team?
All the SAFE-T claim notifications will be sent to your registered email address mentioned in the Notifications setting. You will receive mail from safe-t-review@amazon.com

How Can I File SAFE-T Claim For Multiple Items With Same Order Id Separately?
You can’t file a claim for multiple items separately. You have to file a claim for all items at once as the appeal can only be filed at an order level. However, If you want to file an appeal for a particular item belonging to the same order, email the details to safe-t-review@amazon.com with same order ID.
In What Cases You Will Get Reimbursement From Amazon?
Sellers can request reimbursement for their products from Amazon in the following cases:
- When products are damaged by Amazon during onward or return transit.
- When a return is not received in original packaging.
In following cases, Amazon will reimburse seller proactively within 50 days from the refund/replacement ship date (whichever is applicable):
- For a customer return, rejected or undeliverable shipment, which is not returned to the seller even after 30 days from the refund date.
- For orders with replacement/exchange, if the original orders are not returned to the seller even after 30 days from the replacement/exchange ship date.
- For items, which are declared as ‘Damaged’ and ‘Damaged-Disposed-Off’ by Amazon/LSP (Logistics Service Provider)
For lost products, Amazon, as per its sole discretion, will reimburse sellers based on the fair market value of the lost product. While determining the fair market value, the product taxes applied on the order and any applicable selling on Amazon fees (including the closing fees) are excluded.
Conclusion
We all know that Amazon is a much more customer-friendly company compared to sellers. But, Amazon always tries to minimize the pain points of the seller as well.
SAFE-T claims are one of the services that cannot eliminate the risk completely however it reduces it to a manageable extent.
